Technical Assistance and Quality Improvement Coaching

In addition to offering training and college scholarships, ECCLPS offers an array of services to support child care providers in their work with young children. ECCLPS works with both individuals providing direct care to children, including those licensed to care for children in their home, and child care program administrators. Services provided are customized to the goals of the child care program or provider, but typically include:

  • Assistance with development and implementation of quality improvement plans
  • Assistance in meeting the particular care needs of infants and toddlers
  • Observations using various standardized assessment, and assistance in using these tools for self assessments
  • Assistance in working in partnership with parents to meet children’s needs
  • Support and follow-up for sites receiving a Qualistar Rating.
  • Consultation around a variety or early childhood topics as requested.
  • Quality improvement resources
  • Social Emotion tools and materials

“…Because of their encouragement I applied for my Early Childhood Credentials and decided to have our program participate in the Qualistar Rating process. The Council was AMAZING! They would come out to our preschool twice a month and help me prepare for the rating. Every step of the way the Council was there supporting me. They attended our Parent Activity Night, came out to our program and observed our interactions with the children and helped coach the staff to provide the best care we could to the children. Our program was awarded a 3 star rating from Qualistar and we feel that the ECCLPS was very instrumental in our rating. I look forward to a partnership for many years with the Council, working together to provide quality care to the children we serve.”
