Credential Support

Early childhood professionals—from child care workers and preschool teachers to nurses and counselors—are the fuel that makes a comprehensive system for young children work. After families, early childhood professionals spend the most time with our youngest citizens helping them get ready for school. Credentials ensure that all professionals caring for and educating young children have the same core early childhood knowledge regardless of setting - family child care, child care centers, public schools. The Credentials help create a system of education and training that promote the optimal development and education of young children. Once you recieve your credential, ECCLPS will offer you a stipend. Stipend will be given only once per calendar year, per individual, as funding allows or is available. Stipends will be given on a first-come, first serve basis, based on the date in which the application is received in our office.
